• Registration as a limited liability partnership at Companies House (Registration number OC306118)
• Authorisation as an Investment Management Firm under part IV of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 by the Financial Services Authority (Firm reference number 229372)
• Authorisation to sell general insurance under part IV of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000
• Authorisation by the Office of Fair Trading, via the Consumer Credit Acts 1974 and 2006 (Licence number 611774)
• Registration as a data controller under the Data Protection Act with the Information Commissioner’s Office (Registration number Z1208527)
• Registration as a Trade Mark under the Intellectual Property Office (Trade Mark 2225136)

In 2003, BV achieved each following certification:

• ISO 9001 & TickIT, relating to quality management and operational efficiency
• BS 7799, relating to information security
• ISO 14001, relating to environmental risk management
• OHSAS 18001, relating to occupational health and safety
• Investor in People, relating to human resources management

Since 2006, BV has elected not to undergo the periodic audits necessary to maintain these certifications, but it continues to adhere to the standards and is in the process of re-applying for such accreditations.
